Mushrooms

My brother and I bought some candy that came in mushroom shaped tins. They are from the Mario games. The blue one is the only one that remotely tastest like it was meant for human consumption, I wouldn't eat any of the others unless I hated myself. Still, they are some seriously cool tins. If you want to buy some you can go to Toys R Us or Bed Bath and Beyond.

Mario Kart Wii

To start out I'd like to say that Mario Kart Wii is an awesome game. It's very fun and has tons of features.
The Grand Prix and the VS are still familiar enough to keep long time fans happy. The battles and races have changed, mainly because you can now play with twelve people instead of eight. You can still play four player all on one Wii but you can only play two on a Wii when you go online.
That's brings up another good point. The online play has drastically improved from Mario Kart DS. There is less lag making it a more fun experience and the game finds people for you to play much faster. With the friends system you can easily locate and join them! Even without the disk using the Mario Kart channel.
Some of the unlockable features require a ton of work to get. But none of the characters have any drastic advantages so if your a Mario Kart noob then you'll still survive the only play.
It's easy enough that people new to the franchise can still play and possibly keep up with the veterans of the franchise.
In conclusion I'd like to encourage you to buy this game if you already haven't. Who knows, maybe I'll even play against you online (my name on there is "Nolan".)

Rating- Double A+

Mario Cake

For my brother's twelth birthday (or today) my Mom made him a cake. The cool part about this is that it wasn't just any cake, this cake had a picture of Mario on it.

As you can see my mother is a wonderful cake maker.

Super Mario Galaxy and RayMan Raving Rabbids 2

My parents recently let my brother and I pick out two games to purchase we chose Super Mario Galaxy and RayMan Raving Rabbids 2.

-SUPER MARIO GALAXY-
Super Mario Galaxy is a very fun game! It has controls similair to Super Mario 64 but Nintendo made sure to include plenty of new features.
First off there's the small little thing that YOUR IN OUTER SPACE! The gravity is probably the most amazing thing about that, it is so much fun to jump through the middle of a dough-nut shaped planet and have it pull you through the middle and set you back down on the other side. Also when you jump into a special type of star that flings you through space it gives you a very interesting view of things, like flinging around a fiery planet that shoots lava around you.

The other great thing about this game is the way it looks. The cut-scenes look almost like the CGI in some of the year's best animated films. And even in game the graphics are still amazing, despite being in the middle of a void we call space the game still looks very bright and the lighting effects are amazing! Mario looks more polished than in probably any other Mario game so far.

The game isn't the most difficult, a semi-experienced player can go through it with the minimum requirements in about 2 days with no trouble.
New players will find the game fun to play as well as experienced players. Those new to the franchise will enjoy all of the new features while those who have been playing Mario since it first came out will find that it has enough of the qualities from the old games as well as enough to keep the game from feeling just like all of the others.

-RAYMAN RAVING RABBIDS 2-
RayMan Raving Rabbids 2 is about the same as the first, but that's a good thing. I don't mean it has all the same minigames but it is still all minigames.
The best thing that they did was to keep all of the slapstick humor as well as all of the Rabbids weirdness.
Another great thing is that you can actually play as the Rabbids instead of plain old RayMan and there is a whole boatload of costumes you can make the Rabbids wear.
A new thing in one of the minigames, the plunger shooting one to be exact, is that the background is a real video and all of the Rabbids are animated in which gives it a very new(and nice) look.
The graphics aren't always the best graphics they could have done but once your into the minigames you'll hardly notice it.
All of the minigames are fun there are some that you'll like better than others, but there isn't ever a minigame that I have disliked. There are only fifty or so minigames, but they are all very replayable.
The minigames are divided up into different cultural groups like South America, USA, Asia, Europe, and the Tropics. In America you may have to play football, or get your "kids" to shut-up on a road trip. In Europe you may have to go on a Toure De France like race just with a tricycle.
This game was also pretty easy, some of the minigames take out quite the beating on your arms, but an average player could probably unlock them all in about one day.
I would recommend this game to pretty much anyone, and if your trying to get someone you know into video games this would be a very good starting point.
